My semi-beloved z750 twin is apparently happy drinking halfords 10-40 part
sythetic (dark green can). I just read somewhere that you really,
definately CAN'T use car oil, cos the clutch chews it to shreds. Any truth
to this, tho it seems to me that an SOB should be grateful for anything it
    receives?

  3. But, but? It must be true, I read it in MCN!
Now they wouldn't print a load of bullsh*t, would they?

Bike magazine last month reckoned that it was the tearing action of the
gearbox that the oil couldn't cope with if I remember rightly.
I've been using Vauxhall fully synthetic for years and so have my friends,
with no ill effects. Last month was the first I had heard of it.

  5. Maybe it shouldn't be used in supercharged twins, especially made by
Honda. It's the super charger lobes that tears the oil molecules apart.

My twin isn't supercharged. 'Fact it's barely charged at all. I use the
    kickstart.

I'm just awestruck that the engineering tolerances have become so fine
    between gearbox cogs!

Your sarcasm is wasted on someone who knows the true meaning of
ShiteOldBike. I have seen the light, it is dim and flickers.
