Standard 4 stroke motorcycle oil. No need for semi-synthetic.

Fine, don't even bother if it's car oil. It'll be ok.

Cheers. That's what I thought. I'm a really newbie to spannawankering so
somebody else's SOB is an ideal thing to learn on.

I replaced the clutch lever no probs, cleaned the sprockets, tightened the
chain, charged the battery, sorted the indicator short out, fixed the tyres
and then gave it a damn good clean.

It seems to be a tidy little bike. It had just been left in the garden for
12 months so most of the trouble was cosmetic.

The stuff I've done has hardly been mechanical but I'm confident it'll get
an MOT next week.... and I've learnt stuff which is a start.

I've never had a problem using car oil in bikes but I've
only used it in small bikes. The friction modifiers
allegedly can make the clutch slip.

Shouldn't be a prob with this little thudder then. I'll do it in the morning
and take it for a good long run. That's what it needs.

****, you barsteward. I forget about that sorry POS.

It's like Porche and the budget price front engine horror (in white
naturally). They eventually realised it cheapened the Brand.

Not in CG125s either, for the last 9000 miles or so.
