Oil tank placement on chopper

    I have a 1971 Shovelhead that I purchased a Ultima frame for. The
    question is, I have got the bike almost complete and got a Moon Eyes
    oil tank witch I mounted low on the front down tube. The top of the
    tank is about level with the top of the engine cases top. Now I was
    reading a note in a write up on bikes about gravity feed system for the
    oil. Will I still get good oiling if the tank is this low? I have had
    the engine gone through and don't want to burn it up.

    Any help would be great, and thanks to all
