Oil Question for 1986 Suzuki Intruder VS700

    Still waiting for a tech manual...does anyone know how much oil a 1986
    Suzuki Intruder VS700 takes? Also...the oil plug does not have a
    dipstick...is this normal? If so how should the oil level be checked?

    Check the level by inspecting the sight glass.

    Amount? Try about 2 quarts, add slowly until you see it halfway
    between the marks on the sight glass. Run it briefly to fill up
    the filter, then wait for it to settle for a few minutes, then top
    up to between the marks on the sight glass. Keep track of how much
    for next time.
