    Honda CBR600f4i

Does it matter what brand of SAE10W40 oil I use? Any recommendations or
    brands to stay away from?

Same question with oil filter? (I saw a compatible Vesrah filter at the
    local auto shop for $20?)

    Thanks

Be careful of cheap filters, some have collapsed in the past and caused
significant damage to motorcycle engines. A quality filter and oil is much
    cheaper than a rebuild.

Is Vesrah cheap? What are the quality brands?

Why not just buy a Honda brand filter?

Always amazes me why people are so scared to buy Honda/Kawa/Zook/Yam
filters.. "RIP OFF ETC"... but then, how much is an engine rebuild
worth? So what if the Honda filter is $3 more? or $10?

I always use Vearah because of their quality. They are made in Japan, not
in one of the developing SE Asia countries.
Many of the O.E. componemts of the Japanese brands are not even manufactured
    in Japan.
There are a few US motorcycle sites which have disected and compared
numerous brands of oil filters and Vesrah come out well.
They rave over their brake pads in the USA also but I don't know if you can
    buy them here.

So is Vearah the same as Vesrah?
