Well I have had a some dusty work done on the flat but if they were fucked
they would be fucked regardless of the software wouldn' they? Not fucked for
Explorer but fine for Nero. Besides the other mc is fine.

 

Do you have a service running in the background that starts something like
CDilla?

Go into Computer Managerment > Services to find out.

If you do, its a kind of spyware and look in google on removing it. I had a
similar problem as you and it was down to that getting installed along with
a game.

I've had a problem with my main cp.
I put an I/O card in to handle video output from my camera to edit the
stuff. The s/w bombed while being loaded took out Turnpike, the
10/100meg=lan i/f s/w , buggered the registry, deleted part of Zone
Alarm. ZA thought it was being hacked and shut down my internet access.
Norton system works thought my pc was being hacked and wont let me in.
I've been repairing stuff by knife and fork to save my data and transfer
it onto a second drive. Something has also allocated over half of the
common memory so the system keeps bombing as it's low on memory. Norton
now thinks my current and paid for maintenance s/w has expired and wont
let me in.
