It is no fucking joke mate. The scrotes nick small bikes and ride them
round their local park with impunity. Plod literally can't get near
them because, whenever anyone official looking turns up, they **** off
through escape routes that they ride every day.

In the extremely unlikely event that they do get caught in possession,
they "found it in a hedge officer sir," which is sort of true. They are
almost untouchable by legal means. They hold all the cards and it is
    wrong.

It really does require the likes of Citizen Kev to be using his own time
and resources to daily check the local storage sites and then a supreme
effort to get plod to come out and do something. Good on him, he is a
shining example to us all. If I had the money I would buy him a pint.

That's right. When I first got it from TOG, I had it MOTed and stuff
at Swift's. Arthur phoned and asked what rear tyre I wanted. I
didn't know. I seem to remember choosing the more expensive option at
    about 20 quid.
    Black and round.

Has anyone considered re-lining the boundaries of the park, with a bit
    of wire... ?

18 months ago it was usual to see 2 - 3 bikes being used within that
park during most evenings, police estimate 95% were stolen machines.

Looking back over the past 10 years there has been a number of
injuries and one fatality to those that are trying to use the park for
    more normal activities.

In the past 12 months I have assisted in the recovery of 6 bikes and
scoots, 2 of which have been less than 500 miles old, I have also
deprived the scroats of 12 -15 other machines that were in such a bad
state that the owners would not have wanted them back by rendering
    them totally unusable.

We are now only seeing about 1 bike a fortnight used within the park,
and a large increase in the number of locals using the park.

Most of the trouble area's are fenced, but even good quality fencing
is repeatedly smashed, the problem with small bikes is that they are
light enough to be manhandled through or over the gates and entrances,
they are not worried how much damage they do to the bikes because when
they are finnished with them they just torch them and nick another
    one.

Most of the successes against them have been done with the police
    helicopter.

    Trip wire perhaps?

Right next to where the Benly when missing there was a spate of stolen
cars left and burnt out two years ago. The council couldn't do anything
about the scrotes nicking the cars but, presumably following complaints
about the damage to the grass, they could do something about the hole in
the hedge that was used by, among others, the local dog walkers. So
they stuck in a foad concrete bollard.

Soon after that the scrotes drove another three stolen cars straight
through it at hourly intervals and torched each one. And before any
**** starts on about Urbane Miff there is video evidence of the matter.
Sadly it only shows the after effects and not the thieving scum
    responsible.

Although that is not quite true. It does not show the low life bastards
actually doing the deed but hearsay has it that some the crowd of
onlookers are not entirely innocent of first hand knowledge in the
    matter.

That was TOG's handiwork was it?

Neat work TOG. A nice tidy little bike you sold there, have some
    customer endorsement on me.

Possibly but judging by the completely off the record conversation which
can be summarised as "They live in that house over there Sir," I doubt
    it.

And all I wanted was to be able to walk my dogs without them or me
getting hit - run over by some 14 yr old scroat on a stolen bike.

    Indeed. Well done, Kev.

You could have achieved the same result in half the time, had you been
    tooled up, of course.

Drop a couple of the little oiks, and leave their rotting corpses
hanging from the swings as a deterrent.

    Can't fail.
