  1. You know that old brotherly bikers together in adversity thing about if
you break it you have bought it?

Does it work for third party fire and theft as well coz yer bike has
    been nicked?

Parklands, Pitsea. This morning. First time it had been parked there.
    Between half ten and 11.

From what I have been given to understand there remains no doubt in my
mind whatsoever; it was taken by one of any of a dozen local youths, not
very far and that is in all probability the end of the matter.

It has certainly spoilt my day though but I have been very brave and
    haven't cried.

    Not a chance.

The likeliest scenario is that local scrote will be crossing it over the
park in a week or so and when it breaks it goes into the pond and he
will go and get another one.

    Goto 10.

  5. Bastards. I thought nicking Petrolcan's Z400 was scummy enough, but
    nicking a Benly....

The had my ES Trophy once. But it broke down before it got near any
fields so it was recovered pretty much unharmed.

Let me get this right - you went to a party, got pissed, left your
bike there, and the police delivered it to your house for you?

And they say the police don't serve the public any more.

Yep, no small bike or scooter is safe in this area, last I heard 4 - 5
machines 125 or under were disappearing a week within the Basildon
area, I thought it might have started to ease up cause a number of the
regulars are now having a holiday - at HM expense.
I will keep an eye out for it in the local park, don't hold out much
hope though, cause if it turns up here it will be either stripped or
    burnt out.

I am too fucking angry to worry.

I haven't felt angry like that since I can't remember when.

Anger at the scrotes for nicking the bike, anger at me for letting it
happen and anger at being apparently powerless to do anything about it.

I do find it astonishing that plod could almost certainly tell me to
within a few inches where it is likely to have spent the last 24 hours.
They can't enjoy losing what the little respect I had left for them.

  12. I sympathise with you Steve, having been in a similar situation twice with
my lad's moped. Luckily we got it back on both occassions, and plod were
    bloody useless.

Don't let them grind you down

Some of the local ones have been doing quite a reasonable job of
control around here, the only thing is they don't seem to advertise
the fact[1], but more and more of my local scroats are being given a
hard time for a variety of reasons and because of that trouble has
    eased.

Unfortunately because of this there is a lower chance that the bike
will be seen in this particular area, but the normal hiding places the
local scroats use will be checked on a regular basis.

[1] Too many people fail to complain because they never get to hear of
the end results, when information does filter back more information is
passed on to them and they get better end results.

You don't happen to know the Pitsea ones do you? it may not get the
Benly back but if it separates the thieving scum from their spoils I
don't mind popping in every now and then.

    Yeah but.

As I am given to understand it in the area where the Benly was last seen
their are a couple or three "juveniles" who simply don't give a toss and
because of the way we are obliged to treat them with kid gloves continue
to not give a toss, regardless of any official action that may be taken
    against them.

The attitude from officialdom seems to be "Sorry mate, we do sympathise
but you will have to wait a few years until they are 16 and them we can
bang them up and give them a good kicking in the back of the van. Until
then you will just be patient." It may be the way it is but it is
    wrong.

Maybe the scum by sight, but not the play or hiding area's, in my area
all I have done is to encourage and get feedback for those that have
been pissed off, one good nicking of some scum makes sure that phones
    ring for weeks.

I also found that knowing how to speak or what to tell certain control
personel can vastly affect the end result, they do not like being told
a suspected stolen machine will not wait in its present location but
will be re-located into a safe and secure location to await their
collection, supprising how fast someone in blue saggy skin appears out
of the woodwork, and once they arrive they have to stay until its
    collected.

With machines that are still runnable but beyond repair my usual
method is to render them totally unusable[1] and leave them where they
    are.
It seems this way but it is accumulative, it can also work the other
way as well, official action can also fail to respond as well as it
could if they meet with an accident or two:)
If they are under age they are a bit more restricted with what they
can do, but the more complaints and problems they cause the more
lightly they are to take action against the parents, and they have
more options available if need be.

Its all part of that big circle, if they get reported often enough
    things get done.

Find out their names. My Mum probably teaches them. If she tells
them to give it back, they will.

From what I can gather about it your mum may well have them on her
register but se is unlikely to know what they look like.

You can tell her that I am more than happy to come and take morning
assembly and tell them how it feels and what it means. I'll need a lift
    over there though.

What tread pattern did the rear tyre have, conventional small bike or
a blocky type like a trials tyre but with the blocks closer together?

Tyre tracks were left within Victoria park last night.

Blaney could tell you all about it.

Likely Northlands Park for this one. Pitsea scrotes don't appear to
like travelling very far is what I hear. 200yards from home is a long
    way for them.
