    Ebay item 330213850201

I didn't look closely enough at the item location. It was on £325, so
I slapped another tenner on for a laugh and found myself the high
bidder. A bargain at the price if I win but I don't really want it nor
do I want to travel 400 miles to collect and bring home.

Just work out a deal with the seller to re-list it on fleabay under your
account, but at his location, and be willing to make up the difference
between what you bid and what you get from the next mug punter. Or take
it on the chin and collect the damned thing. Maybe you can write up the
whole experience and sell it to one of the usual rags.

  5. Well, I would have done, but now I see I was outbid. Quite considerably,
    in fact. Thank Gawd.

It wouldn't have done for it to have turned into a rerun of a C90 auction of
a few years ago, would it?
