Apparently you get enough calcium straight out of the tap for boners and
    stuff.

No idea. I presume he knows about bioglass and loads of other things.
It doesn't seem to be a case of stuffing loads of bone graft around
it, but of getting the existing bone to actually grow back thick &
    strong.

The one thats snapped is titanium. [1]

Problem is the bone should have healed by now. It hasn't, therefore stress
still going through metal, which fatigued and snapped.

The x-rays did a very good impression of misleading everyone that new bone
had grown. Must have been a thin shell of bone or summat, just enough to
    fool them.

[1] Go on then, do your worst with the "knee down, sparks flying" jokes
    here...!

Oh bloody hell! You just can't manage this healing thing, can you? Any
idea how long you'll have to hang around waiting for it to get sorted?

That may be the case but it depends on how they rectify it, If the
treatment seems to be a repeat of what they have already done then a
second opinion may be called for.

I think the main important thing in milk is vitamin D, isn't it? I
remember reading something when I was at school, that said that a lot of
dark skinned people have problems synthesising enough in our climate (due
to lack of sun etc.), so it started being added to milk in order to
    compensate.
