Yes, but people didn't just suddenly say oh lets use such-and-such a
compound to do this, natural remedies gave the clue, then research plucked
out the active ingredients. Is the NG being thick today, or has everyone
always taken everything said as a literal?

My point was that the number of plant-based compounds is actually very
low, and yes, people really _do_ sit there all day inventing new
compounds out of nothing and wondering what they might be good for.
    Trust me on this, OK?

I've asked two consultants repeatedly if there's *anything* I can do,
take, eat, drink to help things along and they've both said "no".

I mean, everyone knows calcium is good for bones, milk and pill form.

    Ta.

The guy in Oxford (Mr McNally) is apparently an expert in problem
bone regrowth, so I'll see when (if) I go see him.

Well er- yes. I meant that the metal they keep putting in your leg keeps
breaking, whereas (until the accident) your leg didn't.

How about asking for some proper pins this time? hole saw right down
through the marrow and hammer in some 10mm surgical steel rods this time?
they do it to fit new knee joints after all.

I'm trying hard to remember an old SF book, bloke moves from low to high
gravity world and needs a metal exoskeleton to get about. Has lots of
    trouble on the way??

Someone else who might be able to help is a Mr Day who practices at St
Georges at Tooting, He is an Orthopadic specialist, a good one. It was
him and his team that done my rebuilding work.

He is as far as I know NHS only, I know his waiting lists are hard to
get on to, but if you don't seem to be getting too much joy where you
are going then ask if its possible if you can get an appointment to
    see him.
