  2. Preferably without the hinge in the middle of the frame.
    And brakes that worked.
    And better mpg.

  3. I'd agree about the hinge in the frame. And maybe the brakes (mine had
ATE calipers, and the later Brmebos were so much better). But as for mpg
    - mine had the optional 32:11 higher final drive, which made a helluva
    difference.

My old man had one, which I was allowed to ride on occasions. Top bike
bar the crap steering in town, as you say. I opted for the RT as a
    result of riding his RS.

The monolever with the front end upgrade has no hinges, the handling is
as good as any bike of that era. With a new Hagon rear shock it would be
superb I think. I dropped new fork seals in when I did the Progressive
springs BTW. Oil is mixed to 7.5 weight.
The Brembo's with HH pads are fantastic, one finger job. I'm not sure
Goodridge hoses could make it any better. Sure those pads will wear the
discs a few miles quicker but WGAF.
Fuel economy is pretty good, the 40mm carbs and a Dynojet setup session
    make them excellent, like 45-50mpg.

That RS fairing really is the dogs bollox and I have bought a set of
Jota bars, they might improve the position and low speed steering.

Fuckfuckfuck I want this. And I have the cash. What I don't have is the
    space.

What about the space you've been making for Timo's Black Bomber?

  9. Jota bars on my R60, seem OK to me. slightly twitchy donwhill-braking, but
that's mostly due to the increased head angle from making the rear
suspension higher/stiffer, I rekcon. pair of progressive front springs
would probably cure it, when I get tuits and money simultaneously.
excavate under the garage and have a double decker, with either a
thunderbirds-style ramp or a miniature aircraft-carrier style lift to access
    it.

What would be ideal, is someone looking for a 1200 Trophy.

I saw one in Gloucester the other day, nice it was, although not green. It
was that naff blue colour like what TOG's is. Anyway, it got me thinking
about all the bits I liked about the Green 'Un.
