    Well, I thought the '1100cc' was a bit of a giveaway. I mean, there's
    a reason that it's called GL*1000*.

It's a 1000 engine - well, rocker cover. The bit about the original
paintwork being cream is bollocks, though - it would have been red or blue.
The position of the rear indicators and the shape of the tank put it between
75 and 77. The saddle sucks dead goats through a straw for money, but the
    rest is probably kosher.

You've got it bad, haven't you?

You'll have to give in to it one day, you know.

I have too many bikes. Not as many as you, but still. And I can't afford
    it, no matter how cheap.

Two absolutely *pathetic* excuses. Pathetic, I tell you.

Pathetic? I'll give you pathetic. I was trundling home from work on El
Comfo this evening, and wishing I was cosily ensconced behind the fairing of
the R80RT. If that's not pathetic, I don't know what is.

  14. The RxxxRT and RxxxRS have one of the most efficient (as in protecting
the rider) fairings I have ever ridden behind.

In fact, I'd say the original boxer R100RS fairing is still the best
I've ever used, absolutely bar none. The original Guzzi Spada fairing
ran it quite close for comfort, but in the rain the RS rocked.

I remember belting home from Dover, on my way back from the Bol, and the
heavens opened somewhere near Folkestone. As long as I kept the thing
over 50 (over 80 was better!) I didn't get wet, so I dodn't bother to
stop and put the waterproofs on over my leathers.

Only downer with the RS fairing was the restricted steering lock because
the (narrow) bars were entirely cocooned behind the fairing, so in town
it was a bit of a pig.

  16. The bike I had prior to my first FJ1200 was an R100RS and I can only
    agree.

  17. I'd still like another R100RS.....

Vetter Windjammer, innit? Decent enough fairing for its time, but
unutterably gash appearance-wise. If I bought your bike, the fairing would
be on fleabay so fast it would make your head spin.
