I've got some work to do on my SO GSX600F, namely, replace the front
forks and replace the rear disc & caliper. I also need a paint job [3]
    on the fairing, tank etc. so if you have any recommendations on;

    a, A decent paddock stand. [1]

b, Safe methods of supporting the front whilst I remove / replace the
    forks. [2]

c, Decent paint shop in the Midlands / South West / Wales [3]

I would be happy to hear them.

[1] Not something that's going to fold whilst carry out the work.
[2] Axle stands under the frame perhaps?
[3] Just a replication of the original one would do.

    TIA

    The standard purple M&P one.
There's the traditional beer crate, or a trolley jack under the
downpipes backed (sided?) up with axle stands under the footpegs. Or
hang it off a beam in the garage with a rope around the headstock.

Hmmm.. You been reading the "genuine Buell manual".

That`s what the Yanks recommend for front fork removal!!

Now.. to grow a tree with the right sort of branch......;-)

....or get a paddock stand that mounts in the headstock.

How would axle stands under the footpegs work? Mind would just fold upwards
    I think.

Steve fascinated us all by saying...
I stick the axle stands under the bottom frame rails forward of the
    centre stand.

3 bags of sand on the back of the seat [assuming it's got a centre
    stand]

Petel was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
    As does Bimota ...
.... for front *fairing* removal, because you're supposed to take the
    wheel out for that.
Heh. That'll be a long job, that.
