5 gig? Piffle. All I've done so far is transfer my record collection
and I've used 15G of my 60G Zen's drive.

 

I cant be reading that right surely.

It seems to say that it doesnt charge per song but its based on the format
and quality you pick to download.

ie 1mb of download is only 0.01 US Dollar!!
So an average good quality downloaded song is say 3-4mb its gonna cost about
4 cents!!?????

There has to be a catch surely???

I use pretty high quality as well. Lame encoder set to High Quality
and 256k for mp3s.

It's a small collection. That included the CDs I had too, most of which
were purchased to get one bloody song that I liked. That was in the days
before Limewire though.

 

Not any higher than 256, no I can't. Lower than 256 I can tell the
difference between that and a cd, and I want to listen to what I
perceive as "cd quality" music. 128 sounds awful, and I normally do
192 but in this case I figured I had so much space to play with I may
as well make them 256.
