Spent most of the day bleeding the brakes on the Blackbird, ready for
    tomorrow's MOT.

    No bubbles, anywhere. :)

    Brakes won't let go. :(

Well, they do, eventually, but they're very reluctant. I've removed
some fluid from the reservoirs, and that seems to have helped. All
pistons are nice and shiny, no marks at all. New pads, greased pins,
greased sliders. I presume new seals is the only thing left, except
that the rear has new seals, and that's just as bad as the fronts.

Dodgy master cylinder? It's all too late now, anyway.

At least I can take it for it's MOT, confident of the outcome.

I think I'll let them pull their hair out over it, I've had a
    gutful.[1]

Did we ever get the name of the bloke wot invented linked brakes?
    Cos I wanna kill 'im.

[1] Which, obviously, is quite a lot.

I'd blame Bear - but we know his stance on linked brakes ...

Decided to celebrate with a mug of coffee, and a Nuttall's Minto.

The first for over a year.

Now the proud possessor of 31.5 teeth.

    Arse. More bloody expense.

    That'll be:
    1) Insurance £860
    2) MOT, etc. £150 (?)
    3) Optician £400
    4) Dentist. £100
    5) new VCR £ 85

    Since yesterday.

I wish my pot was half full.

Still, nice cheap day looming tomorrow.

Yebbut, them's the same as on the Wing, innit. They're not *all*
linked together, are they? Bloody silly idea, iyam. Brake bleeding
takes up ELEVEN pages in the workshop manual, I kid you not.

  6. Honda UK had to send all Honda dealer mechanics on a course specifically
to learn how to maintain and fix these systems

Or you could invest a smallish amount of beer tokens in

    http://www.321ignition.co.uk/conversion_kits.htm

That way you get back control. I fancy fitting soem of these to the Vara,
    anyone tried them

Yep, on the Vara it looks a right dogs dinner,
Especially if your lines were up for renewal anyway.

Something the safety nazis dreamed up to screw more beer tokens from your
    wallet.
Or if some toe rag has a go at them with a set of cutters.

Wahey! Banjax are happy to have a go at the brakes, and they're open
tomorrow for collection. I hope I'm okay to ride by four o'clock.

    I love this bit...

"The EVO III reduces still further the number of lines on the
Blackbird from fourteen to four only."

    FOURTEEN! FFS!

The conversion also knocks off 3kg in weight.

£285 isn't chicken feed, mind. Then again, it should be aonce-only
    spend, I guess.

    You blind b'stard !

Why don't you get your company to stump up for at least the eye test
and lenses (you work on a VDU). How come frames cost you £400 ?

You wanna be avoiding those Gucci ones m8 ;-)
