Copper-onna-bridge this morning. <starts 14-day timer> My only hope is that is looked like a regular patrol car (not traffic) and I *think* he had his window rolled up, so he can't have been using a laser. Well as I was nicked with a laser I had a look at this for court: http://www.acpo.police.uk/asp/policies/Data/RPET Manual version 2-3.pdf In a nutshell, using a laser, window up is a no-no. HTH
Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Ace Oh bugger... I suspect there are, I had slowed down a lot by then, so I'll just have to wait and see. -- Wicked Uncle Nigel - Manufacturer of the "Champion-105" range of rearsets WS* GHPOTHUF#24 APOSTLE#14 DLC#1 COFF#20 BOTAFOT#150 HYPO#0(KoTL) IbW#41 ZZR1100, Enfield 500 Curry House Racer "The Basmati Rice Burner", Honda GL1000K2 (On its hols) Kawasaki ZN1300 Voyager "Oh, Oh, It's so big"
I thought Vascar was where they followed you (does it stand for Vehicle Average Speed Calculation And Targeting?)[1] [1] Okay so I made up the last two.
Or watched you pass two markers from a bridge. I got done that way on the M1 a few years back, but they did stop me further downb the road.
Nice reading. I like section 9.4 which basicly says it can't be used in a crowded road. But EVERY road is crowded here. Useful ammo? -- Regards from Mike Barnard Yamaha YZF1000 Thunderace. Worthing, West Sussex. [To reply by email remove ".trousers" spamtrap from email address]
I was planning on using the section that states that the user's mobile phone cannot be on when using the laser. My brief said this would be difficult to prove.
I like that last bit. Reminds me of my worst plod conversation (quite a few years ago now): "We estimate your top speed was 125 and our equipment shows an average of just over 90 including the last two two roundabouts and being held up by the red fiesta. Your riding was very good but the speed was over the limit." Still got a trip to court and 3 points though - luckily they only mentioned the average.
You need it registered in a company name with more than one insured driver. Works every time. Pay the fine of course but we don't mind about that, do we. 'Hog

I went zipping past a plodster recently. He was sitting on bridge, too. I was worried that he's got me but after the 14v days had passed I came to the conclusion that it would've taken him far too long to get his lardy arse to the other side of the van to get anything useful from my plate.
