After such a short time I think I've noticed a pattern to the weather
on just about all UKRM events, and upon consulting the BBC on the
weather at Brands Hatch tomorrow (I'll keep an eye out for Team UKRM)
it appears to be pissing with rain.

    Is it some tradition?

    It's Champ's bargain-basement weather god ability.

I'm not one to gloat, but I've put in a couple of lovely days climbing
outdoors already this year and my track day was the hottest day of the year
    at that point.

OTOH I can't GMKD and my wheelies are as limp as a dead dog's cock.

I had new tyres fitted today. Bright sunshine when I took the bike in.
As I was walking back to pick it up there were a few spots. I got
there and paid up, wheeling the bike out into heavier dribbles, but not
quite rain. Halfway home it started raining and hasn't stopped since.

    Arse.

    Today so far:
    Inside house - Dry
Open door - Starts to spot
    Open gate - Rains
Touch bike - ALL OF THE WATER IN THE WORLD IS THROWN AT ME UNTIL I
    REACHED BRANDS.
Got off of bike - Stops raining
Buying ticket - Still no rain
Move bike into Paddock - PISSES WITH RAIN AND DOESN'T STOP

Today I saw and STARED AT the following people:
Champ (Hello you, you didn't know I was me, but at least you smiled
    back)
Sweller (Hello you, blank expression when I smiled at you told a story
of 'I have know idea why this person is looking at me')
The only person that actually said Hello to me, I can't remember the
name of, but I know the face :)
Also, someone in a black Team-UKRM T-Shirt... with a "Giving it BEANS"
or somesuch logo on the front. Not sure who you were, but hello
    anyway.

Calm down dear. It might have been better to say something, like "Hi,
I'm BGN from the group, best of luck."

I've met you, and think we spoke, but I was enjoying myself rather a
lot at the time so I'm not actually all that sure on what you look like.

  6. You should have taken a big sign saying "Good luck team ukrm. Love -
BGN" ;-) they'd have known then.

  8. I'd take a guess at Verdigris or HOG, both of whom were at BOSM.
    that would be wik.

Was this before or after Alex crashed? [1]

Or before they got it out only to do about six laps before the clutch
    went bump?

It wasn't Verdigris. This gentleman had black/brown hair, thin,
    smoker.
Before. Glad no horrid injuries came from it.

On the way home I was playing "See how long I can survive on the M20
before someone decides they want to be in my lane without looking."
    and lasted about 2 minutes.

Aha, that's who you are. I know of Andy Bonwick, and if people at
BoSM, but putting online handles and real names to real faces will
    take a bit longer.

I'll know who you are next time.

That's easy for you to say. I've just returned from casualty
with my knee the size of a melon all wrapped in bandages
and a prescription for lots of Ibuprofen, paracetamol and
    frozen peas.

Ligaments most likely sprained, and a bit of internal bleeding,
apparently. Which is causing the swelling.

Arse. Still look on the bright side. Ronkers pointed out to me
that I'm probably the first person to officially crash in a race
at westfield, since it has been remodelled and resurfaced (with a
not very grippy surface, I might add).

Right, I'm now about to eschew all prudent medical advice and wind
a large number of cold ones back down my local. Expect a post tomorrow
in which I detail the horrific injuries sustained to my other knee,
    whilst drunk.

I was far too wet and cold to do anything like that.
Oh well, I don't believe we were ever introduced @ BoSM, so a formal
name calling will happen next time our paths cross.

Nope, I'll be too busy receiving accolades from my fellow team members.
Well I didn't see you. 'course, it might have helped if you'd
    actually introduced yourself.

    I'm glad to hear it.
You don't recall someone 6'6" tall in a black and red jacket sitting
curled up on a wall trying to hide from the wind and rain while chain
    smoking John Player Specials then?
