    Are they worth anything?
Specifically a bsa320cc engine powering a concrete screeder?
I've been moving this bloody thing around my premises for years and its
going to the scrap man in the morning.
Its got a very nice looking magneto on it.
Also a dozen old 3 phase electric motors, a Villers powered water pump
(broken), a machine for sharpening war time thicknesser blades (slightly
broken) and a pile of crap that I cant believe I've kept for so many
    years.
It's slightly on topic as there are some bits of an MZ125 and a CZ125.
I still use the spanners from the MZ toolkit.

It's been a painful day. For some reason I felt like I could deal with
anything as long as I was surrounded by this rubbish that I could
    cannibalise for repairs....

    Sorry.
    I feel better now.

I need the room for 400 four bits you see...................

    North Wales. Llanrwst specifically..
You need to tell me now. The scrap man; he cometh early in the
    morning....

The Stationary Engine fans will pay money for the BSA engine and the
    Villiers powered water pump.

    Worth an ask I guess.
To be honest I don't really want to waste any more time meeting and
arranging etc etc. Just thought I'd ask in case I was throwing something
    really valuable away.
I'm sure they wont be lost to the nation if the scrapman knows they're
worth more than their weight in crusher fodder.

Some of this stuff has been buried under wood shavings and hessian from
    before my birth :)
You always hope there's something worth a fortune there but no.
One weird item was a three way jack on a castors for installing one
piece ready tiled fireplaces; the old feller had kept it because he
thought the strangely shaped hydraulic jack might be useful :)

    To the scrap!

The magneto is worth keeping, and I wouldn't wonder if the engine it is
attached to had some parts which would suit some road model.
I know exactly how you feel.

I thought that if I built a really big shed I'd have plenty of room -
    sodding stuff breeds, innit.

    :D

This shed is really a 2 storey warehousey kind of shed. Its mostly full
    of crap.....

I was still looking at things (after I'd carried them outside) and
thinking what I could make out of them.
All it takes is the sight of a motor with a pulley on it and I'm away
thinking of things I could make.
Assuming I lived until I was 304 and 3/4 years old that is........
It all became clear to me when I needed to replace the 3 phase 6 horse
lump on the venerable thicknesser. I could spend a fortnight adapting
one of the existing (1) spare motors to fit and buying a couple of
hundred quid of couplings etc OR I could buy a new motor and switch for
400 quid and just fit it.

1.Possibly about to expire 2 days after fitting or (2)
    2.Already dead.

Well, I remember watching dogfights in the sky...
    Sorry - once had a 1929 B29 two and three-quarters horsepower Douggie,
and a ditto dated KTT Mk1 Velo...

The only Triumph I ever had was a 1960s Trophy. Horrid vibro-massage
    machine.

If you're prepared to wait for an answer, I could put a smallad in The
New Conrod - Douggie owners have a surprisingly wide taste...

Mine was a unit engine, swinging-rm frame. Went OK, but any time riding
it and I had numb fingers.
Will do. annual subs due, so must contact them anyway.

  13. Very handsome engine, too, that all-alloy lump. Better looking than the
    Bonnie engine, IMHO.
