It's come around quickly, this has.

From tomorrow I shall be living part time in Merthyr. Christ only knows
what I've done to deserve this.

The powers that be have planned for me to be off on Wednesdays, so it
means I'll be racking up some miles getting there and back twice a week.

Still, at least I know what the job is all about - and more importantly
    know I'll enjoy it.

Any UKRMers within striking distance of Merthyr fancy meeting up for a
    pint this week?

    Even got broadband in Merthyr

    "For Postcode CF47 8DP

Good news! The checker indicates that ADSL Broadband is available in your
area and that the preliminary check on your postcode suggests that you
should be able to receive ADSL Broadband services at speeds from
512kilobits per second to 2Megabits per second downstream and 256kilobits
    per second upstream."
    from http://www.bt.com/broadband/bb_availability_result.jsp

Applied for a job? I would say Christ had very little to do with it.
Recce out the roads and I might be up for a blat in the new year (as I
    didn't go in 2003 :( )

Well, I wasn't expecting to be in Merthyr for my training period.

I managed to land the much more attractive Hereford job :)
Heh. Once I've got the MZ down there, I'll be out on it most days.

No, there is two other good things about Merthyr - the A470 and the
    A465.
