Well not quite poetry I did however sign up for a BikeSafe weekend with
NW Plod and was pleased to receive straight "A" grade marks all through (low
risk) in my assessment ride from a police motorcycle instructor.

I've handed this to the brief as supplementary evidence.

The context was a curfew by electronic tag, not when plod were likely to
be hibernating.

 

Don't go thinking there's any hesitancy from the lower ranks. Sure some of
the non trafpol officers seem disheartened by Fuhrer Brunstrom but the elite
trafpol boys go at it with a fervour rarely seen out of Nazi Germany.

Helicopter VASCAR speed checks, although the previous MD of Honda GB
discredited it at one point as apparently the video evidence had been
doctored and I believe the case against him was dropped at the last minute.

Of course the fact that drug dealers saunter into the region from Liverpool
and Manchester and set up shop in local village and small town pubs is lost
on NWP. The dealers learnt very quickly that dealing in a place where the
police station had been closed and officers merely visited occasionally to
show a public face was far safer than trying to flog stuff up against a city
drug squad.

Wrexham for example is the largest town in north Wales, and was trying for
city status at one time. I was a bit surprised to find the police station
desk closes at 5pm. If there's an incident you have to report it to Colwyn
Bay some 50 miles away, they then try and find a local plod for you ...

Mine was at under 20mph and the aftermath (unfortunately) makes yours
sound like a sunny weekend afternoon in the Garden of Eden. It's amazing
what can happen at low speed.

yebbut, I sort of slid, she stopped instantly when she smacked into the
