I've got one, sadly scratched, with similar looking vents. Looked official,
from all the packaging. The vent design might be slightly different so as
to avoid scraping the surface of the visor and damaging the iridium

I was looking at the clear ones, but fair enough :)

    Slider says...
They are genuine. Arai use at least two types of vent on the visors. One
type slides, the other flips. Some genuine Arai iridium visors come
without any vents at all, just a rectangular hole each side for you to
fit the old type sliding vent into.

****, I didn't think they would still do visors for my 10 year old FM
    lid, but they do.

Does a helmet have a shelf life? Assuming it hasn't been dropped etc.

3 years for polycarbonate, 5 years for the rest. If it's been kept
out of sunlight (ie. never taken out of the box) it _could_ be considered
new, but what'd be the point?

Cheers, don't think I'll bother with a new visor then.
