Have I got odd shaped wheels?
I've been trying to get prices online on several websites for a new rear
tyre 120/90/18 and I'm not having much luck.
    Is that an odd size?

    You fucking daft bint :) Your A model GPZ500 has a 120/90 H 16 TL rear
    tyre.

16 inch not 18 inch. They never put 18 inchers on any model of GPZ500,
    the later GPZ500 D model takes a 130/70 17 62H TL

Just paid £86 for a 120/90-V18 BT45 fitted to a loose wheel by the local
independent bike shop. Which is 10 doors down from me.

IIRC the H1 and H2 had 120/90-18 or 4.00-18 in old money

Bloody hell. Last I heard Cheryl was riding a shite old GPZ*500*S A
model. I hadn't noticed the change to a 550 in her sig. A mate of mine
has 2 GPZ550H2s sitting in his back yard, one of which he's breaking.

    My apologies to Cheryl.

Less of the 'shite old' and I'll consider forgiving you :)
The tyre I've got covered but if your mate has a tank and/or rack going
cheap as chips then you're definitely forgiven.

BTW, the gpz500 went to get a car when I passed my test, and now, a few
months later, I have seen the error of my ways and bought a bike again.

Factor in postage and fitting; £86 on my doorstep and the mark up going
to the local chap is pretty good.

I paid 90 quid ride in/ride out for the same tyre last year.

And they then sold it to Sweller? The Bastards! Did it have much tread left
    on it?

only four quid depreciation after a year's use? That's not bad going
    at all.
