October: going for a ride

  1. I am pondering going to Cobdogla in October to see the Humphrey Pump
    in action:

The run it about 4 times a year, this year one of the days is October
    5th.

Cobdogla is about 1100km from Sydney, a much shorter ride from
    Adelaide....

Although I have a magnificent touring bike I'll do the trip 2 days each
way as 1100km days are hard bloody work.

Besides, that gives me time to stop and look at a few places along the
way. Any suggestions of things to check out on the way through
    Mildura?

So leave Sydney on Friday, get to Cobdogla on Saturday
afternoon/evening, Sunday at the steam museum and watching the world's
largest single cylinder engine do its thing, then back in Sydney on
    Tuesday afternoon.

Probably leave the topbox empty and stop in every town looking for 2nd
hand books. It's amazing what you can find![1]

    Anyone wanna come?

    Zebee

[1] I managed to complete my bound set of Blackwoods doing that.

Hmmmmm, 5 October sounds familiar for some reason... apart from being my
    brother's birthday... <think think>

Geez Zebee, that's PI motoGP weekend!

    Hmm, decisions decisions <grin>
