  4. Pretty much anything with a series C onwards Vin engine in "I want".
    That looks kind of OK, but still doesn't beat an Egli for classic cafe
    racer style.

  17. Yeah, I know -- I was riding bikes throughout the 70s, remember.
    I think the last bike I had that used to give me adrenalin rushes in 100
    mph corners was my 1981 GS650G Katana -- and I cured that after reading
    accounts of similar behaviour in the later 750s; the factory had let a
    bunch out the door with inadequately-tightened head bearings. Sure enough
    the 650 had a loose head too, and tightening it did wonders for its
    tautness. Even at its worst it was no "match" for the T500R, of course...
