on a big HD Panasonic plasma, I'm trying to get a grip of the
Nurburgring..it really *is* a bit good.

I'm def getting the PS3 anyway, when it comes out.
Blu Ray or HD DVD whatever.
The PS3(Blu ray) versus HD DVD is an interesting one, for sure.
But for sure I think the PS3 will be the better console

The downside of waiting for a PS3 is that you just know bike racing
games are not high on Mr Sonys priorities.

Probably not, F1 and other car racing games will be tops.
To actually emulate a person on a bike, roasting through the corners,
and to get it right on a video game, must be nigh on impossible.
A biker is always gonna find faults with it.
    Never get it right.

But I absolutely detest F1 games on game platforms. Urban racing comes
a close second on the hate list unless crashing is made to be fun.
    Bikers are cunts.

Higher than Microsoft's, though. I'm still waiting for that TT game to
    be ported across.

It's that Tourist Trophy game I'm waiting for - by the same people who
    brought us the GT series.

Have you ever tried Grand Prix Legends? It's about the most realistic
from a physics POV. Difficult to master though.

Yeah it's handy having one wheel that does both systems. I bought GPL
because it's a fiver and has good online playability. It is excellent
from the realism aspect but the graphics are showing their age.
Feedback is I think better than that in GT4 - it's certainly stronger.
I'd still have GTL tomorrow if my PC could hack it - great cars and
    spangly graphics.

You do, of course, have a valid point here.

Agreed, it is lovely to look at.

I do kinda feel that they ran out of scenery coders after the Karrussel.

Where did all those trees come from on the outside of Brunnchen ?

Have a go in the Callaway Sledgehammer Twin Turbo, its fun to see what speed
you can carry at the end of Dottinger Hoe into Tiergarten !

I bought an obscure PS2 game from Asda (1) of all places the other week:
    Driven To Destruction.

It's banger racing... and actually bloody good. I got bored with GT4 etc.,
ages ago, but play this one to death all the time.

For sure. I had to endure Champ trying to 'do' the IoM on my PS2 last
weekend. It was like an echo hearing Champ doing a running commentary
a split second behind/ahead of the game.

  16. How many times did you shout "pound" [1]?

[1] or whatever the alternative spelling is.
