We kew the course as "the triangle" at school. It was a popular
running route. (Well popular among folk who wanted to run 15 miles...)
I had the !pleasure! of a lap in the back of an Opel Manta in the dead
of night with the headlights off in about '86 as one of the racers was
"learning the course". Which, on reflection is bollox - he probably
knew it better than anyone else.

How did Olie Linsdell do today? I know yesterday he was fastest, beating
    the lap record.

He qualified 32nd with a speed of 107.002mph. No idea how he done on Tuesday
night practice but I doubt he beat the lap record, or is this a whoosh
    moment?
