Clicked on it anyway, thinking "naah, it won't be worth it" but have
to say I'm quite impressed by the level of sheer lunacy demonstrated.
    Anyone recognise the city?

    Somewhat ginger in nature
Really? I'm surprised. Doesn't seem that dodgy to me.
The last time we did this, someone suggested it was in Greece, tho I
would be more inclined to say it was Spanish.

Oh. I'd not seen this one before.
There were at least one or two moments that made me flinch, put it
that way. Some of the wheelies while filtering looked vastly amusing
    too.
I was wondering that too, or possibly South America. Some palm trees
next to the road rule out more temperate climes.

It's gingerer than a very ginger thing on an exclusively All Ginger
    Sunday ginge-fest.

I have it on my HD as city_madness.avi, 193,594,444 bytes, in
considerably better quality than that pikey 10.54 MB version.

  9. I don't recognise the colours of the buses - sorry saddo moment there -
but the number of VW Beetles seen driving around would seem to support
your South American guess. I'd hazard a guess at Rio or Mexico City as
wherever it is, is a big and busy place.

Maybe. I thought the traffic was too well behaved to be Brazil or
    Mexico.

Where I'm getting married in this green and pleasant land there are
palm trees on the golf course.

  12. indeed - but a quick google does point more to Mexico City as a travel
guide indicates that there are both clapped out and modern buses in
Mexico. That would match the evidence of the video.

However the taxis do not match as again they are usually VW bettles and
come in a range of colours. The taxis on the video appear to be all one
    colour to me.
Most of the time the traffic is stationary at traffic lights!

The whole things a fake and was recorded in the desert in Arizona. FFS, the
plam tree leaves are moving but there's no wind.

That was what triggerred it, although subconsciously, IYSWIM.

Or maybe Brazilia, which I always think of as being perhaps newer and
    cleaner.
I don't think you could tell, TBH, given the rate matey-boy was
passing it at. But yes, there did seem to be a tendency for vehicles
to give way to others and to pedestrians where appropriate.

I'm 99% certain that it's Athens. I think I recognise some of the
roads, the style of the Taxis, the buses, the traffic lights, etc, etc.

Can you extract a few frames from the film of the taxis and number
plates. Could I download the clip from your machine? I could then check
with SWK if it is Athens.

  19. I have no idea where it was but the bike copper he undertook was obviously
not bothered or not feeling particularly suicidal that day.

I'll trade a URL to it (for your eyes only, I can't afford to supply
bandwidth for this thing to the entire world), for a copy of the
    infamous Des email...

Forward it to olsonm (at) visi (dot) com with a good return addy.

It'll be a relatively slow download to you, my DSL is 1.5Mb down and
    1.0Mb up (to you).
