Thanks Flash, that's a relief. I though somebody might try and write
    something funny.

Giving away all the industries secrets but what the heck. Down load
this if you fancy a read. It's the Perspex Workshop Handbook.

In short when you drill keep it slow and use minumal pressure but
before you start re-grind the drill to give a zero rake.

I'm going to read 40 pages to prepare to drill a couple of holes in a
    bit of plastic ?

Ah ok thanks. I was toying with taking that approach.

Give me a fucking break! He wants to bang a couple of holes through a
    number plate.

Stick a drill bit of roughly the right size in any shite old drill, put
the plate on a bit of wood, drill the fucking holes.

"re-grind the drill to give a zero rake"... Fucking hell...

Cor! Lucky they don't put the registration mark on the tax disk, isn't
    it?

Assuming he's not going to make a pissed-off traffic warden's life
*really* easy by failing to display a tax-disk, that is...

Just half of Page 7, actually.
Softly, softly, innit. I've had good results with brad-point wood
bits, especially those in larger sizes with spurs on the outer cutting
    edges.

  12. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Jeremy amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
Drill it from the back. Last one I did I didn't even use a drill, a
    leccy driverscrew dun it.
