Yes, they mentioned it in Dr Who Confidential

Along with the rather obvious Lucius Dexter Petrus, or whatever his name
    was.

I don't think much of it so far... That gobshite Katherine Tate, or
    whatever is spoiling it.

You're really not missing much at all. Tate should be shot.

Indeed. It could be great stuff, I really like Tennant as The Doctor,
but between Ageyman(sp) and Tate, it's getting massively annoying.

He's pretty good, but the writers are trying too hard to make him
funny, with the result that (to me) the present series feels more like
a sitcom, or an episode of Scooby Doo.
Agyeman was pretty good when she appeared in a couple of episodes of
    Torchwood, earlier this year.

Tate must go, though - I don't like *anything* she's done, she can't
act - all she does is recycle her (alleged) comedy characters and it's
    ruining the programme.

I don't really "like" Dr.Who, but I watch it because the rest of the
household like it. But, this series with Tate is really pushing my
patience. No way should the doctor's assistant be more of a
personality/character/well known IRL than he is - it's just very
    Wrong.
That was OK - I can't watch her without bad flashbacks to her "sexy"
    Raquel corrie character, mind.

Especially the teen angst in Pompeii. I was bracing myself for the
    canned laughter.

David Tennant in his pomp is like Burn Gorman in his: unconvincing.
A girl named "A Gay Man" is always going to go down well on Torchwood.
I quite like her: slightly lairy older woman with a potty mouth. It's Dr
    Who FFS. It's a romp.

I must be missing something: I thought she was dreadful. I've seen
    better acting in school plays.
