Oh you boys are going to be so FUCKING busy over the next few
days/weeks. The Expo was a huge success for me and all the other reps.

I was hoping to buy a Gixxer thou by next xmas. I think xmas may be
    coming early this year.

Anyway, what are you warehouse bods complaining for. This means you have
space on the racks for a few more container loads to be emptied onto.

I've never claimed to be anything but. I take exception, however, on
behalf of my extremely hard-working and hard-pressed colleagues.

It's not that they want 25 hours a day (though they're getting not far
off that from me), it's just that they want everyone in /on time/.
Apparently some brass were narked when one of my staff was six minutes
    late one morning. FFS.

  11. I must admit that I get pissed off with people who are late - I am fine
with the ones who do all the hours needed, but the clock watchers who
are gone at a minute to five, and then 10 mins late every day piss me
    off.

Absolutely my perspective. The tardy empl. in question is a honest
grafter, in every other way, so I didn't GAF, but apparently I should
    have. Bollocks.

out of interest, how many hours are you working per day (and are you
    actually paid by the hour)?

I'm contracted to do a 35 hour week, and actually do about 42-45, not
so much because I /need/ to 8-9 hours per day of actual work, but
because my team work disparate hours, with some working 8am->4:30 and
some doing 10:30->7pm, so I like to be here in the middle, from before
    9 to after 5.
    that's just fucking stupid.

I'd hate working for a **** like you, then.

No-one who works for me can be "late", because we work flexi-time.

The one thing that does very much piss me off, is people being late for
    pre-arranged meetings.

I have a stated rule: if a key person hasn't turned up for a meeting
within ~15% of the duration of the meeting (roughly 10 minutes per
hour) then the meeting is cancelled, and everyone else goes back to
    their desks.

I'm in about 0600 most days, and I never leave before 1800. So 12 a
day. Last week I did 67 hours.
Yeah, because it's all billed to the Gubmint.
    Tell me about it.

the only time I did hours like that, I kept myself going with alcohol
    and caffeine.

chocolate? When I was working long hours, I needed the alcohol
afterwards, or I couldn't get to sleep.
well, sure, the law of ever decreasing returns applies.

uh huh. I guess if you really don't have any stuff to do except relax
when you get home, then it's do-able.

Bad meetings in general piss me off. I regularly have "meetings"
where nothing is decided, and no-one goes away with any actions.
    Really winds me up.
I can't really do that with my customer, as they've got "stuff" going
    on.

Odd having meetings where the customer has a gun, too. Little bit
disconcerting, for a delicate flower like me.

That's the thing: I reckon just spend the extra time at work that I
don't spend commuting, cooking, cleaning, ironing and doing tax
    returns.
