You have very little staying power JL almost as small as your
    vocabulary.
You must be confusing me with someone else that you couldn't
carry on a meaningful discussion with. There are about 36 computers
here on the same IP address and probably sixty or more users over an
average day. Even I wouldn't know for certain who's been online so
    how could you?
To <plonk> is the easy way out for someone like you.

    Now I didn't call you a plonker, did I.

And the road maintenance gangs don't know how to sweep up the loose
gravel when they patch the potholes!

    That happens here too Bummers.
They should have to put signs up to warn bikers after the roadworks
have been done, in case some stones or fine gravel come loose and
stuffs up a perfect biking day.

When I whinged about the loose gravel around Akaroa to a well respected
NZ motoring journo, he told me he'd come from a "Roads" background he
thought NZ was 10 times worse than Oz in that regard. He said he'd
complained numerous times to "the authorities" & they weren't interested!

If it wasn't for the patches, South Island roads would be (are?) a
motorcyclist's dream! - Nearly as good as Tassie.

    of course it's serious

and taking into account the comparative size of New Zealand and Australia it
would seem that you really do have a monstrous problem in New Zealand

I've often wondered what it'd be like riding around Tasmania.
Did Brisbane a few years ago. Quite a few. Very hot and
got sunburnt but enjoyed the whole time I was there.
Wife & I might do south island before we come back to
Australia. Southern roads seem to be quite good but lots
    of traffic.

Statistically speaking, the majority of the discussion politely inferred
that, whilst it appears you can read, your comprehension skills are
    lacking.

    My 2.2 cents worth.

Punctuation perhaps. Comprehension can be affected by grammatical
    differences.
By the way, does Australian coinage still include 1 cent, two cent, and
    multiples ?

Why not just hire one of those new nuclear powered (and armed)
flying camels and save freight cost on GS1150

The thing is here in NZ we actually have corners on most of our roads
including our main highways. Not hundreds of k's of boring straights and
    deserts.

Heh heh I should have said "lots of traffic for New Zealand."
It's a biker's paradise on our roads compared to Australian
traffic levels. Did you enjoy your holiday in 04 Bummers?

    That's right!
Many twistie winding roads and some long straights for zapping down.
I think Tassies a bit like that isn't it?
