NSW ONLY - Cheap Greenslips!!!

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by James Mayfield, Nov 29, 2004.

  1. NOTE: NSW ONLY

Sorry, can't help the other states.

My better-looking half works for an insurance broker called Aon, and they
    have very cheap greenslips.

    Prices are.....

    $350 for over 300cc
    $143 for 100-300cc

This is based on the Sydney Metro area.

Ok, so what you need to do if you want one is, fax your rego papers, along
with a brief coverletter asking for a greenslip etc, and including your
    date-of-birth, to Aon, on 02-9890-1736

They will then do the paperwork etc, and post you out an invoice and all the
    usual stuff.

If you want to call them, you can phone them on 02-9683-0900.

    Enjoy!!!

    How?

My last Greenslip was $250 (under 300cc), $143 seems *really* cheap.

Don't apologise to us. We actually get value for money compulsory 3rd party
    insurance :)
I was reading a liftout from the paper today (the money section of the H-S or
the Age from last week I think) and there was an article which mentioned the
insurance company Aon. I'd never heard of them before. The article I read
was about the woman who had her business insured with them. When her
restaurant was destroyed, they were so slow paying out on her insurance policy
($800,000 claim) that she took out a $1,000,000 loan to cover her costs of
rebuilding and refitting it herself. Months down the track she still hasn't
got any money out of them, and all her profits are going towards servicing the
loan. They haven't declined her claim, they just haven't paid it, and haven't
said when they will. The "expert comment" in the article was that you get
what you pay for when you buy the unbelievably cheap policies. I have no
opinion on Aon, I'm just relaying what I read.

  6. Apparently it's something to do with them "buying" all the greenslips at
fleet rates and then passing the savings on to you and me, the consumer
(which is nice for a change).

  7. Fairy nuff. I've never had to make a claim.

But, for greenslips, it's not really an issue. It's a totally different
    process.

  8. Write it down, the prices are "subject to change without notice" etc blah
blah blah, but I certainly haven't heard of any price-rises in the wings.

  13. My greenslip for under 300cc (1986 XT250) was $99 with NRMA. The over
300cc would have been about $260, it was August when I paid it so I
    don't remember exactly.
