Our submission to the Parliamentary Law & Justice Committee has been
    published

    http://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/pr...n&ParentUNID=49BD3152FE59A8DBCA2572ED0019FD6B

Please download and read how this was argued. They attached the
supporting papers too. This gives us crash barrier argument on the
Parliamentary website, not a bad deal at all.

Other submissions received by L & J were also published.

Rod on the MCC CTP Committee notes "My (jaundiced) view of the content of
most submissions is that of motherhood and 'hand waving' - ie. rubbish."

LTCS submissions there ARE generally full of motherhood statements and
grateful 'cos they're getting money and whinging about not getting more,
however, the Law Society and ours both indicate serious opposition and
deeper problems, from different aspects, but there is a meeting point.

We are now in the hands of the Parliamentary Committee and await their
    deliberations

A more adversarial position may become necessary.

We are fighting back a "safety" levy justified on the basis of injuries
to motorcycle riders being higher than injuries to car occupants.
The issues of responsibility are not correctly assigned.

Improved car construction is largely responsible for lowered casualties in
car crashes. Improved road engineering will reduce motorcycle casualties
The manner of charging the NSW LTCS levy is to blame the victim and
    charge them more.

We'd be mugs to cop it sweet on this - the thin edge of the wedge of
levies in NSW is in place and we're already paying.

However, direct work will commence with the MAA shortly on addressing
some minor stuff directed at "making motorcycling safer"

Thanks to the CTP Committee for spelling out and refining our arguments!
