  1. MOTORCYCLE COUNCIL OF NSW

    TIME FOR ACTION

The MCC of NSW requires a bit of work from every rider in NSW, today
tomorrow and through to Friday. We have an election of Saturday.

It means YOU sending emails. LOTS and LOTS of them.

A little later today, we will be releasing an election flyer by email

It will be intially distributed through the MCC-Delegates list.

    (1) INFORM RIDERS The email Election flyer needs a big effort to
distribute it into every emailbox of any rider you can think of, all
forums of all flavours of motorcycling. Make sure ALL riders know it's
    happening.

    THEN

    (2) INFORM THE NON-RIDING PUBLIC Start sending it to the NON motorcycling
community and get them interested by bombardment.

I mean BOMBARDMENT. Make this the biggest email exercise you have ever
    undertaken

Send to politicians, local councillors, TV stations, Radio stations, car
related forums, special interest groups, womens groups, mothers clubs,
P & C associations, etc, anywhere there are people who can understand
inequity. Use your own cunning intelligence to do this, individually.

The idea is make it explode onto the scene, so the media cannot ignore it.

Yes, we will draw fire, that is the whole idea. We are ready for it.
We have a just complaint. Voice it.

Get heard. If we all work together on this, we can be heard. Shout
loud by all taking action. Use your personal ideas and contacts, but
distribution to as many as you can is the objective.

Background information is available on the website, under the "NSW
    Elections 2007" tab

Our Manifesto, available as a download in this section is the basis of
the email flyer and it provides a rich tapestry of issues.

Focus on funding issues, tolls and e-tags, lack of inclusion in transport
    planning

This is the time to shout loud and to as many people as you know.

Enter debates. With non riders as well as riders.

We want a government administration that will include riders, not continue
to ignore them with arrogant contempt.

We are asking individuals to vote for individual candidates who they
    think are useful.

We have treated all political parties exactly the same way. MCC of NSW
is a-political, we just want equitable, good administration in relation
    to motorcycles.

(and don't forget - the only damn pollie who cared when it *wasn't* an
election was Arthur Chesterfield-Evans of the Democrats. - Zebee)

What the? a-political? rich tapestry of issues?

I see 5 issues listed for response by a politician.

Only one is of any real significance (to me). Road Safety. And guess what,
pollies can't even get it right for CARs (or trucks or buses which are far
    more regulated).
