I do not think these countries are without corruption, no.
Japan, Australia, new Zealand, Iceland, Greenland, canada.
Don't know where to start, the police, the ministers who swear blind
they have been kept in the dark, the pm who knows there are no WMD, the
developers who buy minesterial time in parliament, the Baroness that
sells cemetaries on prime land for £1, and maybe the £100 000 a year
plus building costs that is Manchester councils new scheme.
No, no, no and don't know. I do know I would not vote tory or labour.
Problem lies with some of the other parties, green etc having no
chance, so maybe a wasted vote is better than a vote for the mainstream
    parties.

The beach at Weston isn't too bad - although it's a bit muddy when the
tide's all the way out. Burnham's quite a few miles further down the
coast and doesn't have a nice beach: all the sand is tied up in dunes.

The Weston Beach Race is a bit of a laugh. I wouldn't want to take part
in it but it's fun to watch, if the weather's OK. (If it's wet, the race
    get's even sillier.)

I suppose all hearsay, if it was concrete then perhaps something would
be done about it. Things like baroness selling the graveyards for a
quid, attacking countries for non existing WMD.
Putting it in perspective, it is a lot of media bombardment that
    accumulates.

Why would you add religion to that statement? Also, could you expand a
bit with the "it were a person expressed desire to deny people life, or
    the means for life" bit.

I wouldn't defend someones right to express their desire to, say,
exterminate Jews. Hence the reason to include religion.

Abhoring someones views is not abuse.

BTW I'm still waiting in the other sub-thread for your response to my
    questions about corruption.

    No, but name calling is.
Already posted that reply, don't expect exposes ready for inclusion in
    TNOTW.

What? The bit about a Conservative councillor from 10 or so years ago
    and some flawed intelligence.

Not exactly institutionalised corruption "from the top down" was it?

I think any name calling I did was towards a person. I could be wrong
though, I've had a couple of trying days and can't be arsed to go back
    and re-read what I posted.

    Yeah, just saw it.

Apart from Japan and Canada I don't think anyone would conside the other
    countries as influencial.

You don't know the PM doesn't believe there are WoMD.

The developers, well if you look at Japan it's had its share of
    financial scandals.

Selling of cemetries- is that Dame Shirley Porter?

Manchester- I don't know about this one.

Sure, I won't deny there is corruption in the UK. However it's pretty
small beer when you compare it to other countries. Power corrupts etc.
I'd rather vote in something I believed in than the BNP; you haven't, I
note, ruled out voting for them.

Which one? Greenland? Isn't it owned by Denmark? No corruption 'cos
there are no people. Obvious innit.

    <ponders aloud>
Hmm, shall I? The 'there are no moral absolutes' debate, just done
elsewhere recently. Thing is, I've got to get up earlyish, am busy
tomorrow in day, have friends around tomorrow night, want earlyish
night tomorrow and then am away for at least Friday - can it wait a
    bit? Yes, I think so.
    There is no line.

I did not say influential, don,t change the goalposts.
then someone is corrupt in keeping that 'little' secret away from him

I have never heard of any
    Yep
Putting the money up for a school in Bangladesh to teach the children
who have been taken out of school in England to go on holiday to visit
relatives, apparently the councilors believe that English people should
be fined for keeping kids off school but the Bngladeshi should be
helped by building schools and running them abroad.
No I have not ruled them out. It does however stick in my craw to vote
for something that is 'traditionally' against the morals I believe in.

If top grade means lack of corruptness, then yes. Just because a
country is little does not mean it cannot be corrupt or otherwise.

  19. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember joe parkin
"Lockheed Scandal" Google for it. Caused the downfall of the Japanese
    government, that did.
