anyone owned one, or know much about them??

were they same as the 3cyl MVX250 that had issues with rear cylinder?

I believe they were the opposite way around.
One had a single front and the other had a single rear cylinder.
Never heard of any problems with the 400 but there weren't many around
(and they weren't doing big miles) so that may not be a recommendation.

Yea, couldnt remember with the cylinders. Fairly sure the 250 was a dud.

There was one in our club when they first came out. Glennn attempted touring
    on it.
Expandable tank bag, that he struggled to look over the top of.

Saw one on 'the bay' the other night, just hadnt seen one in bout 15years.
(and they weren't doing big miles) so that may not be a recommendation.

  4. I owned one for a year in 1988. Was a fun little thing to ride. Never
had mechanical or engine issues with it. This far down the years I
guess things could show up. I'm pretty sure the single cylinder was
    forward though.

The biggest pain was the single seat, but then I bought a Ducati 851
after that so I am obviously a glutton for punishment.
