Really? Because the ACU notes say:

    "Lapsed Licences
Clubman licence holders who have allowed their licence to lapse for 3
years or more and have not competed at a
Road Race event in this period, will be required to complete the
competitor training course before resuming competition at
    Clubman level."

I barely managed to shed my Novice jacket, never mind make National.

What counts as a 'competitor training course'? Is this something the
    ACU runs?

I suppose I should Google but cba.
Hah. Me too. Actually, I've probably still got mine somewhere,
    pristine and unscuffed.

Cheers Champ, but when I see "please state if medicated by insulin" I just
know what's coming next It's usually "Well you can **** right off" :)

Good job for Jamie Whitham that having cancer doesn't automatically preclude
anyone from racing though, even at national level.

Typical situation is the owner of the vehicle receives a fine from a speed
trap, he can argue he wasn't the driver, then tells the name of the driver.
Then, ever since the "points" license, many wives and grandmothers are
losing points from their driving licenses...

  10. Just so the brits sepan, in Spain you start off with points and lose
them for infractions. Good behaviour over a period of time earns you
    more points.

The system is being described as a failure as there have been more
deaths on the roads since its inception. Oh, and they're mostly middle
    aged bikers, apparently.

"hills" is a bit much though isn't it. hill singular is closer to the mark.
    says so in the description.

and don't talk to me about stock. even cloggies wouldn't call that a hill.

  12. Did I say they were big hills?
I was thinking more of Essex way in Benfleet actually. Or it's shorter
somewhat steeper sibling that is Vicarage Hill. Then there is the
cliffs at Southend, nearly vertical in places they are, nearly and still
take three of four whole steps to climb up.

There's a fourby-driving bint in my home town just got banned for
persistent speeding. Somehow she managed to accumulate 21 points -
    she was driving with 15!

If I, with my medical record[1], can get an ACU licence without a
doctor examing me, then anyone can. It's so easy to get one now that
it'd be rude not to, so I will be just for the hell of it. Also,
through work, I am also going to be qualified as an ACU motocross
riding instructor very soon - now that made me laugh, I'm crap at off-
    road riding.

be in front of you anyway.

Loz, why not just buy the box, book the service and have done? All this time
wasting isn't doing anyone any good.

Back in the days when endorsements were stuck on your license, the totting
up system allowed 3. I had 8 and all were running at the same time. They
covered such horrors as speeding (naturally), driving without due care and
the best of the lot "Aiding and abetting a learner rider to ride with no "L"
plates ffs. Being a proficient pleader seemed to work a lot better in the
60's than it does these days.

I eventually got banned though, but I only had one endorsement when I went
to court (always went, never wrote in or had a fixed penalty) although I did
have two at the time of my last offence. That was in 1971.

I'm expected to be a travelling marshal when we go out to the mx track
with the lads. Some of them have only been riding three or four times
and they kick my arse big-style on a dirt bike.
