Now that's what I call speeding

  1. We just need a willing volenteer with an r1 to check his revs against
35mph and 109 mph in 1 ,2 ,3 gear and 35 and 179 kph in the same gears
, quick comparision with the vidio will give up the truth

  2. Look Sonny just because you managed to get it in gear once don't think
you can ride it down the road ok.

  3. I dunno. It's quite a long, straight(ish) and steep hill at that
point. If you're thick enough to ride like that guy does you could
easily break 140 down there. In fact you can get up to 80MPH just by
coasting down in neutral IME. Not saying his speed is genuine, but I
    can see it being possible.
I reckon I'd be happy doing 120mph down that bit, with another 10/20
in the bag before I got worried, and that's mostly because of the pub
at the bottom with people pulling in/out.

Although I've no doubt Monz would have me for breakfast down that
    road[1]

    [1] So to speak.

  6. Which means you can have a lot more confidence in the bloke in front
than the bloke in front deserved. I wouldn't be that close to that
    bloke at any speed.

  7. Not all of it. Some of the bits round the edges where it is fraying can
be comparatively upwards or downwards, sometimes for as much as a
hundred yards at a stretch. The middle in the middle exhibits all the
general features of being a plateau though. I would have to concede
that. Mind you I should point out that it is not all raw natural beauty
and not a fucking tree in sight like what you get in the frozen north.
Where do the Sparrows sit? No, some of it is man made. In fact the
longest steepest hill on my list of roads most likely to travel is the
southbound entrance ramp to the M25 at the A127.

Both, I imagine. Engage brain and see if you can work out how that

In Spain the owner is told to identify the driver.

  13. Similar in the uk however as the bike cant be identified its a little
pointless , if the bike was identified then the owner would have to
identify the rider hoever the rider identified would just deny it and
say it was the owner so little could be done

You've just fucked yourself up big style because as far as I know a
medical isn't required for a competition licence, just a sight test.

The only thing that could make me totally wrong on this one is your
    age.

A medical certificate from my GP was required when I got my ACU licence
    in 1985.
Does my age make you totally wrong as well?

Well I never. When I got my first road race licence back in '86 I had to
go to my quack, with a tick box form from the ACU, for a full check over
(including a sight test). I remember distinctly him saying, "Och, Laddie
it's only your head needs examining!"

As a lapsed licence holder I would still need to do the school room bit.

They might want me to have an eye test anyway, as each year I have to
report having had a partially detached retina. Not much to have to be
able to see in hill climbs, except the rare red flag, and certainly
no-one just about to steal your line.

Ossie Neal's daughter used to tap him on the appropriate shoulder to
confirm which way to turn the outfit in his last few events.

They stopped compulsary medicals a long time ago, all you have to do
is sign a disclaimer stating you've got 2 arms and 2 legs and then
have a sight test which has to include checking your peripheral
    vision.

There *might* be an age limit where they require you to have a full
medical but the last time I renewed my licence I was either 44 or 45
    and I didn't need to.

The first time I had an ACU licence a full medical was required but
I've let my licence lapse twice since then and then renewed it without
    needing a medical.

But then again, he could be as stupid as my brother is when it comes to
riding in "formation". I used to get the feeling he wanted to read MY
speedo, but I don't ride with him anymore.

But surely the owner would have to be spoken to by Plod before anything
