Apologies if this sounds a little basic, but I have recently become the
owner of a 1974 suzuki A100 bike (and have no maintenaince experience).

Runs generally fine, but small glitch in the electrics I think.
The 'B' (battery?) light is constantly on, and never goes out.
Electrics operate OK, except indicators <fade> not <blink>, at low
revs, showing me, I guess, no charge.
Am I right in thinking a) battery is dead? b) wiring problem? c)
charging coil (as suggested by someone - if so, don't know where to
    start with that one?).

I realise all three (or more) could be possible, where do I start?

I believe it runs off a 6v system.

    Any thoughts/ideas welcome.
    Appreciate your time.

    Chris.

    Thanks everyone for the ideas.
Think I'll start with a voltage tester, then see about new battery if
    required.
Looks like a charger is a good investment too.
