Yes. The .sig version of the ringtone at an office I
worked at a while back. I say 'at an office' 'cos
everyone (and I mean *everyone*) in the office had
a rendering of the saxophone solo from 'Baker St'
    on their cellphone.

thread, on every group. Where have *you* been all this
    time JL? :)

  5. The only kind of turn I can think of, that would vaguely constitute a
270 degree turn, would be a right hand turn at a roundabout, or coming
    through a clover-leaf type freeway entry/exit.

  6. Yep, and I still think that negotiating dirt on the roadway is part and
parcel of riding. If cars can handle it then a competant motorcyclist
should be able to too. Not having a dig at Sanbar personally either,
more just expressing my thoughts on our over legislated, over litigious
    society.

I appreciate Zebee and others informative replies too. I never realised
how open to litigation my local council is. I'm off to see if I can wangle
    a new Harley!

Any criticism he made is based on the testimony of Sanbar himself, so for the
purposes of this argument he knows as much about the person as is required to
make a judgement. I'm sure there have been plenty of responsible, cautious
drivers gaoled for culpable driving, and probably many more hoons who have
    never hurt anyone.

I guess the exception proves the rule, then.
    ---(Quick aside:
A guy goes to an optometrist complaining his vision is failing.
Optometrist: "Aha, it looks like you've got Christian Brothers Disease."
    Patient: "Christian Brothers Disease? WTF??"
Optometrist: "It means you've fucked your pupils!")
No prob, I've sorta remodelled the front end a coupla times since then
anyway. Flipping it on the freeway south of goulburn is the mother of
    invention.... |-)

  12. The council would probably employ a champion to stand in for them, in
which case your average ausmotian would be diced meat before they could
    say I yield :)

I'd have followed Smee's lead and gone with "Harsh week" rather than "I was
just trolling" this far down the thread...

To add a degree of rationality (or otherwise) to the argument ...

And yet you've already determined that the account you just admitted
doesn't exist is bullshit. Can I have the lotto numbers for next week too?
    Nope. Highlander.
It was beheld, my evidently inebriated fellow. Did you not read my post?
The part where I recount all the contributing factors to which Sanbar
    admitted, intentionally or otherwise?
Nope. You've simply been called on your own histrionic bullshit.
In the sentence previous, he also says "Contractors for the local council
here have dumped fill from roadworks up at the corner of our road."
Couldn't agree more. The questions here are to what extent did that trail
of dirt contribute to the accident, and to what extent is the entity who
placed it there liable for said accident. If the two answers intersect, the
law has done its job. If they don't the defense lawyers have probably done
    theirs.
    Pot. Kettle. Black.
    Another long bow.
