  5. Damn straight that counts! Good on you for getting out. I'll just bet
it did you a world of good to get out and see things from a motorcycle
seat even if it was the pillion.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Well it's a little after 1:00am Sat. morning and I still may have
guests coming by. So no telling when I'll be crashing out. Maybe a
day ride will work, though. What were you thinking?

I am thinking Saturday morning 9:00 AM.. Joe's Coffee Shop in Irving.. Day
ride will work.. Nothing planned and nothing scheduled.. Sure would enjoy
seeing you and the "Blingster" out and about.. Don't party too hard and drag
it out of the rack for a while.. C'Ya there..

You damned early morning people. :p

If I had known about it sooner (with the morning time) I could have
made it. No way after getting to bed at the time I did, though.

Y'all are probably out and about right now thinking - Gee, I wish
Fullstate was here to show where all the good roads are. LOL

y'all have a fun and safe ride!

You should have come. I don't think we rolled out until 10:30 or 11:00. Or
is that still too damned early? :)

I'll tell ya what. That was some serious fun we had. Bill shanghaied some
poor guy named Jim at the coffee shop and forced him to come with us. Much
arm twisting. Poor guy had his old lady yelling at him over the cel; "Where
the hell is my load of bricks you were supposed to bring!". I guess he never
had time to go get his truck. I don't think he could have held many bricks
    in his saddlebags.

And about that Bill. He will tell ya stories. I don't believe half of them
(well....any of them). Discounts everywhere? I don't remember a discount at
the diner. French fried apple pies, indeed! Anything tastes good country
fried. Everyone knows that. I don't remember getting a discount on the 3
tanks of gas we burned, either.

Brian was along too. I had to keep switching sides with him to let the other
ear go numb for a change. He must have straight pipes on that jet engine of
    his.

We went from Irving, through Ft Worth, and down 377...where we bailed and
started hitting the twisties (some, anyway). Much fun had. Some scraping of
footboards at 50-60mph (mine, anyway). That part had me yawning tho..I dozed
thru most of it. Bill woke me up as we come to a stop at a dead end. He said
we weren't lost, and that's good enough for me.

Back on track and headed to Hico for the apple pie (I had pecan....I'm a
rebel). Well, we had to sneak out cuz Bill was bound and determined to get
us kicked out. I don't know if they will let any of us back in. We rolled up
67 and accosted some family who had the bad fortune of getting both a flat
and a dead battery. Then rode on into town as the sun went down.

Good post, Waco... You are good company and sure enjoyed our ride and time
together.. Hey.. I was on my best behavior, today.. Now that we are
acquainted, I will really let the animals loose on the next one... LOL..
Have a good one, my friend..

DAMMIT MAN!! No, that would have worked, yesterday. I can't
remember if Bill has my number or not, but it's too bad I didn't know
you guys didn't leave until so late.

The guy didn't know what he was in for, I am sure. Bricks? Who needs
stinking bricks? "Honey, it's going to rain TOMORROW. I'll get them,
then. TODAY I am riding. Gotta go, there is a crazy man here that I
    am afraid to turn down."
Bill is definitely a character. I don't recall any discounts, myself,
now that I think back on it. I'll have to ask Bling! if he had any
    discounts that he can remember.
.....and everyone dogs me for wearing ear plugs when I ride.
y'all came RIGHT freaking by me. I'm surprised I didn't see y'all as
I was out tooling about during lunch time on my own bike. I'd have
    recognized Bill for sure.
You dozed through it? How can you doze through floor-board scraping
fun? Lay off the drugs and try the coffee next time. ;-)
That was the same experience Bling! and I had. We were trying to
figure out how serious Bill was vs. having a strange sense of sarcasm
and humor. Next time we go, we'll tie Bill up on his bike and bring
his food out to him. LOL

OMG! Those poor people. Now they probably REALLY hate bikers.

I kept thinking you might show up.. Brian was running late also.. See
there... too much partying , too late.. That's why I do my partying before
bedtime.. However, at my age, things change..
Yeah... actually though.. there wasn't a lot of arm twisting necessary.. I
think he was trying to escape the "honey-do" thing and ride his motorcycle
with us.. Told me later, that we made a "serious" ride and wants to do it
    again..
Damn guys... what do you want.. Cheeyit.. charm and democracy only goes so
    far...
Nah... It's all that stereo equipment you got tied onto yourself.. You know
you enjoy the blast from my pipes..
I did keep gunning that green Vulcan, trying to roust you out in time to
    go..
Ol' Waco got so far behind, I had to keep backing off to see if his engine
was still runnin'.. Now, we find out he was taking a nap..
She was cute as a little button.. When she is all grown up, I will have her
on the back of that Vulcan..
Now just wait up, here.. Ain't nobody leaving me tied on my motorcycle..
That ain't gonna work at all.. Besides... Waco took a page from my book and
got us a discount at a pretty decent biker's leather store, in Hico.. He
could only manage 10% and I was disappointed there, but he sure jumped the
old boy out about it.. Good thing he wasn't working on the man's wife..
Damn... she was a tough old biddie..
Nah.. we had them laughing and hollering all over the roadside park .. One
ol' gal got real risque with Waco.. I think she propositioned him..

Like I said, had I known that y'all were going to get such a late
start I would have made it for sure. At the very least I could have
hooked up with y'all as you came through Arlington.

When I know I am going to have an early start for a ride, I cut out
the partying early in the evening. That particular night, we were on
the bikes until about 1:00am. ;-)
sounds good. Did y'all happen to make it into Cranfill's Gap? If
y'all were in Hico, you were VERY close. You probably remember that as
it was right about the time we were getting rained on.
Charm? Is THAT what you call it? LOL
Nothing like good tunes on a good road. Problem is that sometimes
it's too easy to get caught up in the music and start pushing it.
LMAO. Sounds like a great time. I'm really disappointed that I
    missed it.
and y'all rode home without her? What is the matter with you guys?

We kinda started runnin' out of time, since a couple of the guys had to
report "home".. Yeah, Cranfills Gap is a nice little run..
Did ya notice... I always leave 'em smilin'...
One of these days, I will buy me a motorcycle that runs like that...
Well... we missed havin' you and ol' Bling on the run..
Nah... she weighed more than Waco.. I wasn't about to mount her on the
Vulcan.. Waco tops out about 240.. You and I are on the same page with those
    "big" wimmen..

Tell her you thought she meant "lay a brick," as in the 'ol porcelain
    throne ;)

About pegged Walker Sr. Don't think we got discounts, but they sure do
pour a mean Angus for 'ol Bill.

All you have to do is point out some pretty Senorita and sic him on her.
He'll leave everyone else alone (and probably leave the country on a
    whim).

They're at NTB right now getting "the best battery you got."

Man, that lady was scrambling for her cel phone just as we rolled up.
Someone musta dropped a dime on us and told them we were in the area. She
SAYS she was calling the tow truck, but I am damn glad we got out of there
    before the sheriff showed up.
