Dear self, DO NOT TAKE ANCIENT R100 OUT IN PEAK HOUR.
Won't go into neutral when I want, slips into neutral when I
don't,does'nt like very slow speed, factory manual says not to idle more
than 9 minutes when stationary, almost stationary for much longer in
peak hour, heavy to manhandle when not moving, ancient cycle not like
    peak,ancient rider not like peak.
    Rant over.

It's unlike you not to recommend that the bike and rider also have a nice
    lie down, Betty! :-D

Once you stop slidding it is less abrasive.

I feel your pain. Should never have sold my Softail. 8 years together,
    16 years apart...

  8. Apparently in New South Wales it is legal to marry anything you choose
    even to a dog,
but keeping it motorcycle ( bike) related
There was once a girl in the next village who no-one would marry because she
    was the local bike

    Why spoil a good thing?
It will stop starting from the push of a button, even a kick will
struggle to get it running. If you need more TALK you may be on to
something. The bike that you love and know every inch of will start to
feel heavier and not be as comfortable while leaned over. TIP - If there
is no spark if could be a plug problem. You can change rings but if the
head is gone......... Speaking of head.............

    Sorry, I better stop.

    :p

    LUBE! hehehehe.......

I sold my VT500E at the urging of my first wife. Due to some startling
cosmic coincidence I found it again a couple of years after she departed,
and bought it back on the spot.

I haven't ridden it since returning from the Solar Eclipse trip in 2002,
but I'm not planning to sell it.

If only the gods would smile upon me thus. I'd buy it back as long as it
    had original frame and cases.

I'll likely have a replica of the old bike for my next Hogly.
