When embarking on a project, don't start until you have gathered
together the necessary resources. That way you don't suddenly remember
that you lent a silencer to one bloke, and your flywheel puller to a
mate, just when you have got the timing cover etc. off to change the cam
belt. I *think* said mate returned the puller over a year ago but I
can't find it. If he wasn't away on a NHCA trail riding jolly in Spain
(sorry Wavy Davy) I could email him so that he could confirm or deny
that he had returned it. If was sure he had returned it I would start
turning over the contents of the garage in earnest.

I rode 1000 miles to Milan to get the thing ten years ago. I can buy a
pattern one from Uncle Bob Wright easily enough but it's the principle
of the thing. Genuine factory one it was, sold to me by a Gilera Dealer
    in Trezzo sull'Adda.

    Bad Form.
Pratt - where else would it be but at the bottom of the 'IN' tray in a
jiffy bag (you may conjecture about the height of the pile in my 'IN'
    tray).

"Action this day." At least the garage is nice and toasty warm now.

Makes mental note to check whether that was Queen or Mr Taylor solo when
    I get home.

  4. It was before they started splitting the royalties, so that'll be Mr
    Taylor.

    Winnie FFS!

The belt is off (like a dog's hind leg after sitting for a while -
turned it over on the button a few times when ICBA, but I think it tends
to settle back in the same position) now I just have to RTFM to double
check the timing mark alignment routine. "My eyes are dim..."

  6. Never lend tools. If some **** really needs one they can buy their own.

    In communiqué <>, Grimly
This was a real mate of many years standing who I have called upon for
assistance in return on many occasions.

I would have been a pickle if 'Pointe de Corde' hadn't lent me a similar
puller and locking spanner last year. Took it on trust that a 'rosbif'
would post them back and not hang on to them. Hopefully I will never
need the Voxan one again, so the outlay to buy them for one job seemed a
    bit steep.

They're not called Senior Moments any more.

They're referred to as CRAFT moments.

I lend all sorts of things to all sorts of people. Most of it finds its way
    home eventually.

Oh, but then I can. Classic really. No problem if it was something years
    ago, but last week....
