One of my old buddies has done it.. I talked to him on the phone last nite and he was in the dealership while they prepped his new motorcycle.. Damn.. that dude is something.. In less than two years, he has used up one of the best looking Springers' in Texas.. That motorcycle could qualify as an endurance bike, with all the miles he's put on that sucker.. His new ride is going to be a tricked out Electra Glide Bagger.. This means that he'll be doing some serious touring in the next couple of years, don't it ? LOL.. We've been planning a trip down into the interior and Pacific Coast of Mexico, this month.. I can't think of a better run, to break that new Harley in.. One thing is for sure, he'll be well acquainted with his new ride, by the time we get back to Texas.. Too bad that we've only got one week to enjoy that country.. One a side note.. I finally located the new saddlebags that I've been searching for.. to install on the mighty Green Vulcan.. Those good friends of mine at Grapevine Kawasaki finally found them for me.. Even though there were a coupla sets of display bags at the dealership.. the style I wanted wasn't there.. I got a first hand look and feel for the quality, but it was necessary to order the bags.. Son of a Gun.. those people are sure proud of their product.. dang.. Ah well.. guess you get what you are willing to pay for.. Trouble is.. after arranging the financing with several lending institutions, I felt like there was a second mortgage on the mobil home, or something.. <chuckle> All but one of the guys on the Mexico trip has checked in and the schedule seems to fit for everybody, so it looks like we'll be leaving Texas on the 17th of this month to make this long awaited trip down into that country.. Regards.. Bill Walker Irving
