Shit, that bad news. Rather worrying given that he's about 25 years
    younger than me.

Time for a quick diary / update for you.

I had been feeling a bit iffy for much of Monday and Tuesday. Some chest
pain and a fuzzy feeling in my fingers with aching lower arms.

Just thought I'd pulled muscles at work.

Got a lot worse during dinner on Tuesday evening, ended up with me rolling
around the floor, barely able to breathe, with K calling 999.

Very quick response time, paramedic there in just a few minutes. He
stabilized me and gave me a good dose of painkillers, ambulance took me to
Merthyr hospital, where they continued to treat me for a good couple of
    hours, when I had a 2nd attack.

They then decided I would need to go to Heath in Cardiff and called out the
cardio surgeon, who operated on me at around 4am, putting a stent in the
worst artery, and identifying a further stent needed, to be done on Monday.

Currently still in critical care of the cardio unit, but being moved this
afternoon, at which point I can use my phone etc.

Can I be the first to say 'You're a bloody idiot' That sounds like
classic heart attack symptoms to me.
As opposed to this Neo stunt you're pulling?

    GWS, mate.

That's a mistake I'll try and avoid if it ever happens.

Glad it's not worse and GWS.

****. Sounds like you were lucky it happened where and when it did.
Glad to hear it's being sorted, and hopefully Monday's surgery will go
    well and allow you home.

I guess it's too early for them to give a longer-term prognosis, but
    best of luck anyway.

  9. Now you know what those pains are all about you can understand how come
you misdiagnosed yourself. I hope it doesn't happen again but at least
you will recognise it and get help sooner if it should.

If it helps any, the health freak evangelism you are about to let into
your life as a part of the recovery process wears off in a year or two and
you can then get back to the proper business of abusing your body like it
    never happened.

    Now for the advice.
The key to survival from here on in is less salt, fat and more oxygen. The
easy way to achieve the first two of those is to remove from your diet
ANYTHING that is not prepared from raw ingredients into your own kitchen.
And it is not just your heart who will rejoice if you do this, your taste
buds will love you and your wallet will be significantly fatter as well.

Both wrong. There are so many causes for coronary heart disease that
it's quite possible for a smoking, drinking, overeating slob to remain
healthy (heartwise) just as it's possible for a fit, healthy-eating
non-smoker to be at risk. IIRC Lozzo's daughter fell into the latter
category and had her first attack at just 20-something.

Listen to the doctors, not to someone who's had similar, but not
    identical, issues.
Less salt IF he's suffering from hypertension.

Less fat IF he's suffering from hyperlipidemia.

More oxygen? There's plenty of that around anyway.

Like cancer genetics will feature significantly, as will other environmental
    pollution factors.
    The trends are inescapable however.

I see a lot of them. Skinny fuckers. Just days before they die.

Of course they may have lost 50% of their body weight recently.
