Bah, he should try having one shoved down his cock and all the way into
his kidney... that smarts a bit, I can tell you.

    What sort of thing?

Fortunately I only got one shot, which resolved the immediate problem
very nicely and something weaker took care of the pain afterwards.

    Update for the non-face bookers.

Finally taken down around 3pm for my 2nd stent to be fitted.

That was interesting - felt like they'd caused another heart attack whilst
clearing the artery, so had to give me a shot of diamorphine to stop me
climbing off the table and hitting someone.

Whole procedure from leaving the ward to returning took only a couple of
    hours.

Feel a bit achy tonight, with a sore chest and aching wrists, and I'll be
on a monitor all night, unfortunately.

However, I'm 99% certain to be going home tomorrow.

Do you think you should, in your condition?

Thatr's what I like about this place: when you're in extremis, the posts
are all designed to 'kill or cure'.

Glad you're making use of it, beats chucking it in the bin.

sometimes the shoulder has been agonising in the night and keeping me
awake, so the codeine is good as it puts you to sleep as well as
    numbing the pain sensation.

    So thanks again.

Let me put it another way, it turned me into someone who didn't give a shit.
    Which isn't good.

Ah well, I suppose if your underyling persona is inherently that of a
complete fucking animal, then not giving a shit will let that out.

It was quite entertaining, watching the thin red lines travel up your
arm from the cannula site, while listening to the heart monitor beeps
    get slower and s lo w e r ....

Yebbut, you quite often seem to assume that other people think like
you too, and you must surely, eventually, realise that it's not the
    case.

    Useless fucking cunts.

Under promise and over deliver.... unless you're the NHS where no fucker
seems to know what anyone else has told you.

Sat here for 4 hours, going through the motions for release - tablets,
rehab nurse, taken off the monitor etc.

5 minutes ago..... 'we're keeping you in for another 24 hours because we're
not happy with the trace from last night'.

Why the **** didn't they tell me that first thing this morning, rather than
let everyone get me ready for release, then change their minds when I was
    literally walking out the door?

Bunch of fucking bastard useless cunts.

They have no incentive to do any more.
I'm surprised your employer isn't providing private healthcare.

They have - but I get £100 /day if I use the NHS.... so there was no
incentive to force the issue. Until now. When I'd happily give up my £700
from the last week to go home now.
