I really like it. It's quite quick, handle well (not on the Swedish Army
Specials it has at the moment) and can plough through traffic.

They're pretty simple and easy to fix too.

Soft luggage , no screen and lots of bungee straps. None of that poncy
hard luggage and fairing stuff like Bonwicks.

    A proper arctic assault vehicle.

I think it's pretty light going for ten days camping in minus 20
    something Celsius.

I just hope we pencil in a laundrette day.

That thing is so umm, "interesting." I assume you have a tinted visor
so you don't have to show your face while riding.

Very nice. Likely to be the attention grabber in parts of northern
Norway, since I don't think MCs ever were used by the Norwegian armed
forces. You will pass through areas with significant (previous, before
the glasnost era) military presence, and many locals will still be
familiar with various military vehicles (except the Armstrong).

Have you deliberately fitted only a right hand mirror? You will be
spending most of your time (hopefully) on the right side of the road.

I would have brought a supply of binbags, or similar, to wrap around the
    luggage.
For not more than 5% of your trip there. 45 and 50 are the usual limits,
for those interested in such things.

It's a universal clamp on type (the one it came with) - will take two
    minutes to swap over.

No need, the stuff is either in dri-bags or it doesn't matter if it gets
    wet.

If it becomes a problem I can lighten the load by (a) drinking it, (b)
    dumping it on someone else.

It's been suggested to drop the forks a little to put a bit more weight
on the front, also the MT lot reckon tyre pressures can go higher.

We'll just see how it goes - it's rideable at 65 and as you say we won't
be spending much time at that speed. Not like in Germany...

maybe you should actually fit a snow-plough for travelling to Norway.

Hmm... none of the MT lot has offered you the loan of a pair of MT350
    forward panniers then?

Within a week, you may well have got used to views like these:
