    Hi all,

A date and location has been set for the North Texas Carb Clinic (NTCC).

    When? Saturday June 3rd 2006

Where? In the North Texas (Dallas, Texas) general area - at the home and
garage-shop of Steve Fasano in DeSoto, Texas (that's just South of Dallas).
He's got shade trees, a garage full of tools, and we'll have a couple of
fans to keep our bikes' engines cool. If you'll contact me offlist, I'll
get his physical address to you in plenty of time for the clinic.

Who? This Carb Clinic is geared towards the early-mid 1980's Yamaha XJ
    series of bikes. (Maxim & Seca XJ400, XJ500, XJ650, XJ750, Maxim X,
Midnight Maxim, and the XJ1100 )

What? North Texas Carb Clinic. We'll work on your bike's idle mixture with
a colortune plug... we can synch carbs.. (Morgan CarbTune II, and several
others locally have a set of Motion Pro Carb sticks).. I've got a YICS tool
to blank off that YICS passage when tuning... I'm sure that between the
participants, we'll have plenty of food for a BBQ lunch and/or dinner, and
I'll work on another donation from a major manufacturer of a certain
treatment we all like to use (no promises, though - until I hear back from
    them).

If you happen to have a YICS tool, colortune plug, or carb-sticks (or
CarbTune II) - feel free to bring them - as more will help with dialing in
everyone's carbs in a quicker manner.. then we can head out for an end-of
day run - and maybe out to dinner as a group - for those who wish to.

If you would like to be kept on my personal NTCC email contact list - feel
free to shoot a note to me off-list & let me know. (send to
). If you are close enough to make it, or know of
another XJ'er who is close enough - pass along my info - or contact me
offlist, and I'll keep you up to date as we get details pinned down.

Last year, at our first annual NTCC, we had 10 people & 9 running bikes
there (the bike in 1000 pieces in my back yard doesn't count!). Jeffrey
Covington drove in from Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Gary made it up from
Austin, Tx. We missed having Duane Blanco from southern Louisiana - but
maybe he can make it this year...
