To be fair, when I started on two wheels in 1993, every **** had a
    spring for a neck.

Not here, but certainly sportsbikes were popular in the US hiphop
scene in the late 80s / early 90s.

Flavor Flav had a CBR6, bless him.

I wondered how long that would take to come up!

In fact, though the idea was born at the Black Horse last September
when I was very drunk, I did affirm the decision the following
    weekend, sober, in France.

Oh, sure, and many's the time I've affirmed my drunken plans to go
skydiving. But in terms of actually doing it, the parachute's in
Frankfurt and I'm in Qatar, so to speak ;)

And this is less acceptable to you than someone who enjoys their image of
dirty skanky leathers, or anti-safety-nazism? If you're unaware, it'a also
quite fashionable to look like a full on hardened road warrior, which is why
I patched up my track leathers myself instead of paying 500 quid for a new
    set.
That's risible in the extreme. To presuppose someone else's motivation for
doing what they do and then to stereotype based on that is tantamount to
    trolling, idiocy or both.

Eg, (your words) Someone who chooses to ride a bike over a car out of
necessity shares the same attitude as one who rides out of preference? I
    don't think so.

If you've done many track days you'll soon see that not all of those with
ripped, badly maintained leathers on dirty bikes are that fast [waves] and
not all those dolled up to the nines are hideously slow.

Can we see those statistics while you've got them out there?

There is no common "culture" in the bikers subset, so there is no
    "sub-culture".

Is there *anything* you know anything about?

Tell me where I said you did.
    anyone.

What, you've asked them all why they bought what they did and wore what they
did, did you? And then cross-referenced it with your Plato-esque ideal of a
biker to come up awith an objective definition of a proper biker? Very
    industrious of you!
Eh? That's almost an EXACT quote with a question added for your benefit..
    "Whatever, Minger".

Oh many. You'll notice that I don't weigh into discussions on
genetics with Simian, for example, or linux with Batey, or spaceships
with Whittingham, or plastic dinosaurs with Cane.

I must have been surrounded by spanish brits when I was in Calella de
Palafrugell a few weeks ago then. It was like a dawn chorus that ran
from morning til night (and then carried on)
